Igniting Innovation in Chihuahua: Behind the Launch of an International Startup Hub

Earlier this year, I had the privilege of working alongside Tech Ranch and Texas Global to support the launch of the Chihuahua Innovation Engine (CIE) — an international entrepreneurship initiative positioning Chihuahua as the northern gateway to innovation in Mexico.

The project, which culminated in a cross-border effort to activate global entrepreneurial pipelines, is a blueprint for how regional ecosystems can be scaled through data, partnership, and precision. At its core, CIE isn’t just about launching a program — it’s about empowering founders to access international resources, funding, and talent.
My Role: From Strategy to Systems As the market research and data strategy consultant on the project, I:
Conducted regional and cross-border market analysis to help identify key industry sectors and growth opportunities
Designed data collection frameworks and analytics models to evaluate ecosystem gaps and strengths
Supported the internal teams by curating funding strategy templates, reporting systems, and founder profiling tools
My focus was to ensure the CIE team had actionable insights, not just dashboards — because startups deserve real data that informs real growth.
Why Chihuahua Matters Chihuahua is uniquely positioned to become a bi-national innovation corridor. With a strong manufacturing base, growing R&D assets, and a hunger for entrepreneurship, it’s a region ready to scale — not just locally, but globally.
Our work through CIE demonstrated that small businesses and early-stage founders — especially those from underrepresented communities — can lead that charge when equipped with the right tools, data, and partnerships.
A Model for Future Markets At Infinite Momentum, I specialize in working with under served ecosystems to build their internal capacity — through compliance systems, grant infrastructure, and founder enablement strategies. CIE is just one example of what’s possible when strategy meets execution.
If you’re building or expanding an innovation program — in the U.S., Mexico, or beyond — and need help with:
Data readiness
Ecosystem strategy
Funding frameworks
Market research
…I’d love to support you.
Because when you build with equity and strategy at the core, the momentum becomes unstoppable.
